The house, the tower and the veranda are the three elements that compose the project of this private residence. Three volumes composed of different shapes with easily recognizable materials. The house is covered by a pitched roof in tiles and the facade is covered with a light but warm mineral plastering. The tower has a flat roof, in stone, laid one by one by fast and experienced hands. The veranda assumes the function of connection between the two parts of the building, it is made of steel and glass, contains a stairwell, is transparent leting light through, allowing you to imagine the most secret garden behind. The common denominator is the choice of natural materials, used almost as semi-finished materials so that the project is never attributable to a style, a period. The size of the openings favours the view to the outside, especially thanks to the low sills at 45 cm from the ground that allow you to see the garden from the inside more easily. The visual and physical continuity is wanted. The same stone slabs are used both for the entire living area and for the exterior and for the pool, where seven large blocks of travertine float on the water allowing the passage and entry into the house. The villa had a very short construction timeline, thanks to the constructive choices that allowed to optimize a lot of downtime. The structure is in metal carpentry, while the perimeter panels are in prefabricated panels X-LAM. This allows the construction to be carried out in the workshop, while excavations and foundations are being prepared at the site.
