Rigorous, refined, welcoming. This is what Sebastien Nespolo asked us when he started imagining his first restaurant. His attention to the details is absolutely in tune with our way of designing. We thought about how to create a place where everything had a common thread and where the service and the kitchen were the main characters on the stage we designed. We combined sophisticated materials with natural ones, focusing on the restoration of the old walls and creating lime plasters in soft and warm tones, using light and rough fabrics like linen. The ambient is highly vegetalized, especially at the entrance: three magnificent olive trees and Mediterranean essences underline who we are and what we have to expect from Nespo. We used simple waxed iron for furnishing structures and details in order to enhance both opaque and iridescent tones. Great attention was given to the acoustic and lighting control. Everything is done for creating a comfortable place.
Rigoroso, ricercato, accogliente. È quello che ci ha chiesto Sebastien Nespolo quando ha iniziato ad immaginare il suo primo ristorante. La sua attenzione ai dettagli ed ai particolari è assolutamente in sintonia con il nostro modo di progettare. Abbiamo quindi pensato a come poter realizzare un luogo in cui tutto avesse un filo conduttore comune, ed in cui il servizio e la cucina fossero in qualche modo protagoniste sul palcoscenico da noi progettato. Abbiamo cercato di farlo alternando materiali raffinati ad altri usati nella loro essenza naturale, puntando sul ripristino delle pietre dei vecchi muri e realizzando intonaci a calce dai toni chiari e caldi, usando tessuti leggeri e grezzi come il lino. È presente molto verde, soprattutto all'ingresso: tre magnifici ulivi ed essenze volutamente mediterranee sottolineano chi siamo e cosa ci sia da aspettarsi da Nespo. Il ferro con cui sono stati realizzati arredi e dettagli è semplicemente cerato, in modo da poterne esaltare i toni a volte opachi a volte cangianti. Grande attenzione é stata data al controllo acustico delle sale e all'illuminazione che può variare e, se necessario, attenuarsi. Tutto per rendere il locale sempre più comfortevole.
